Title: Strengthening Cross-Cultural Literacy through Local Stories from Indonesia and Korea

Description and Reason:

This project engages students in researching, writing, and illustrating bilingual storybooks featuring traditional tales and moral values from Indonesia and Korea. By using recycled paper and eco-friendly materials, students gain awareness of sustainability while strengthening cross-cultural understanding. The project aligns with Global Citizenship Education (GCED) goals, promoting literacy, cultural respect, and environmental stewardship.

Resources Needed

• Local folklore books and online archives from Indonesia and Korea.
• Art supplies for illustration.
• Recycled paper and binding materials.
• Access to libraries, cultural centers, and community elders for cultural insights.

• Collaborate with local libraries and cultural centers for folklore references.
• Use online platforms and e-libraries for research.
• Conduct interviews with elders or cultural practitioners.
• Collect recycled paper from schools and community recycling programs.

 

Implementation Plan
